Paddle Board Yoga Overview
Let the board be your yoga mat. There is no better way to connect with nature and to truly find yourself in the present moment. Starting with a brief introduction to paddling we will get on the water and paddle to a designated location where we will anchor down and have class. Our SUP yoga class is designed to help increase your core stability, improve your balance and keep you on your board (though you are free to fall in if you please!). Nurture yourself with our relaxing, beginner level yoga sequence focusing on breath, body awareness, and alignment. The class is a slow paced vinyasa flow, suitable for all levels. Common asanas included in SUP yoga practice are downward-facing dog, the cat-cow combination, child’s pose and corpse pose. Skilled yogis may attempt challenging standing asanas such as tree pose and warrior one. This is the most stress relieving yoga practice you will ever experience. Ending with a tranquil savasana on the water, we feel the connection to nature and our surroundings. Appropriate for all experience levels.
